For the 2003 model year, Mercury revived the Marauder nameplate after a 33-year hiatus. Similar in concept to its 1960s namesake, the new Marauder offered upgraded chassis, suspension, and powertrain components over the standard Grand Marquis. The cabin features power-adjustable front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in Dark Charcoal leather with embossed Marauder logos. Accessories include an Audiophile sound system, a trunk-mounted six-disc CD changer, an AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control. The air conditioning system blows super cold! The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. Factory AutoMeter gauges in the center stack monitor voltage and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 114,386 miles. Just over 11,000 Marauders were built on Ford's Panther platform in Saint Thomas, Ontario, Canada, over the course of the car's two-year production run. This first-year example is finished in Black (UA), and it is equipped with black-trimmed headlights, cornering lights, fog lights, side-window rain guards, an exterior lock pad, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, and a dual exhaust system with chrome finishers.
