TUCSON FUTURE CLASSICS LLC
This is the somewhat famous ticking time bomb Theta II motor that has been known to have bearing failure due to a manufacturing defect. Not this one. This had customer satisfaction campaign 953 done way back in 2019. It's had 6.5 years and 105,000 miles to monitor for knocks and has come up with bupkis. So sorry haters. This is a GOOD 2.4L Theta II.ALSO! Campaign 959, which flashed some better ECM Logic at the fuel injection system, as well as an ABS fuse recall 218 were both done over a year ago. She's clean, folks.So with that out of the way, let's talk about what you're getting for less than $10k out the door. A super capable AWD mid-size SUV with excellent Goodyear's on the corners, gorgeous coffee leather interior, fully and freshly serviced, and every option you could get on one of these in 2015. The difference between ride quality between this and the RAV4 is night and day. We've had plenty of those, and didn't feel nearly as planted and secure driving through full Tucson Monsoon as we did with this stubborn little fella yesterday. We'd sell this to our own kids.
