The Cartier trim was the highest available at the time and provides the best possible Town Car driving experience. Not only does the Cartier offer some cosmetic upgrades, but it also utilizes a true dual exhaust system and offers 15 additional horsepower over the other trims.This particular Lincoln is extra special. It was purchased new in 2001 by its original, and only, owner. It lived nearly its entire life in Arizona until the owner moved to South Carolina to be with family; which kept it free from harsh winters, salt, or rust. With so few miles, this car is still clearly in fantastic condition. The 4.6 V8 runs strong and smooth, and the ride quality is incredible. It feels just as great to drive as it does to ride in. And that's the beauty of these large American luxury sedans.When this Town Car was new, you could have ordered it straight from the factory as a limo, a hearse, or even just a version with a longer wheelbase. These cars were made with comfort as the absolute priority. The V8 meant that this heavy sedan gained speed smoothly and easily, and the suspension just glides over rough roads without jarring shakes. It was also made with families in mind. There is plenty of space for the kids to ride comfortably in the back and enough trunk space for everyone's luggage, or even just a couple of extra passengers who don't mind dark enclosed spaces. With the comfort provided by this car, especially with the Cartier trim, a long road trip is a breeze.It's a shame that we don't really get cars like this anymore. So if you can find one that's been treated well, it's worth holding onto. Come check it out in person and be reminded why the Lincoln Town Car was a GOAT of boats for so long.
